Information and Referral (I&R) services are the link between people and community organizations. Many people find it difficult to navigate the maze of community resources and government agencies. I&R specialists assess caller's need s and determine the best service provider to meet their needs. We maintain a comprehensive database of local, state, and federal agencies and programs who offer assistance with the following:

• basic human services food, clothing, shelter, rental assistance, utility assistance
• physical and mental health resources medical information lines, crisis intervention, support groups, counseling, drug and alcohol treatment, Medicaid/Medicare, maternal health, children's health, insurance
• employment support services unemployment benefits, financial assistance, job training, transportation assistance, education programs
• support for senior and persons with disabilities home health care, adult day care, meal services, respite care, transportation, homemaker services
• programs for children, youth, families childcare, afterschool programs, Head Start, family resource centers, recreation pro-grams, mentoring, tutoring, protective services
• volunteer opportunities and donations
• support for community crisis or disaster recovery

A free telephone support service accessible by dialing 1-800-468-4357. Whether you are in a crisis, dealing with a personal problem, or need a word of encouragement, our specialists are ready to provide immediate and confidential help. The Hotline also provides telephone support to help callers through:

• Personal problems
• Emotional stress
• Thoughts of self harm or thoughts to harm others
• Concern for friends or family
• Other mental health crisis

Emergency Mental Health Assessments

We provide Emergency Mental Health Assessments 24 hours a day for people in the community in need of crisis intervention. FCFH also provides a safe and comfortable place to come for evaluation and assessment of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)

The Crisis Stabilization Unit is a 10-bed facility located in Napoleon, Ohio. Professional mental health providers, who help patients through a crisis, staff the CSU 24 hours a day. The CSU provides a homelike setting with warm, caring staff who work with you and your loved ones to get you back on your feet.
